System Development

BIOGAS Equity 2’s mission is to provide reliable, competitive, distributed biogas systems throughout the Western States of North America. To this end, we offer a full turnkey solution providing all the benefits of renewable power without the capital expenditure or requirement for our customer to provide maintenance. Our projects are perfect for municipalities to convert food waste and biosolids, for dairies to capture the methane from manure, animal, onion wastes via our liquid anaerobic process. Non organics and cellulose woody biomass is best gasified using the patented WLE technology we represent. These projects are well suited for both urban and rural sites. When determining the appropriate turnkey solution, we take many factors into account. To start with, we test the feedstock for the methane potential, is there a need for heat or steam in addition to electricity that comes with operating a CHP engine or is it more advantageous to upgrade the gained methane to biomethane for vehicle fuel or added to natural gas pipeline for cleaner burning vehicle fuel distribution.

BIOGAS Equity 2 coordinates all phases of the project from initial analysis to determine our customers’ needs, through entering into site agreement, Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”), full engineering, procurement, construction (“EPC”) and long term ongoing maintenance. BIOGAS Equity 2 and its engineering partner work with high quality experienced EPCs and local qualified resources to deliver the best biogas systems. Our patented UDR technology ensures maximum extraction of gas at minimum extraction times. A 1 MW plant with CHP engine utilizes less than ¼ acre of real estate which is an important benefit for urban areas.

Patented Upflow & Downflow Reactors

The highly efficient standard Building Blocks of the UDR Biogas Plant are 4m dia by 11m high. The Reflow tank size is calculated based on Feedstock Quantity and Retention Time.
